Senior Production Manager

Scope/Purpose of the PositionThe Plant Senior Production Manager oversees and directs operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved.
The Senior Production Manager will perform continuous improvement review to monitor and improve organizational processes to increase efficiency and optimize safety, quality, and productivity and to reduce costs in within the plant.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions o Manage a production management team across two departments and 6 production lines.
o Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop plans for change, and monitor progress.
o Review and monitor workflows to identify improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve work environment, and improve safety.
o Create systems and structures to improve and encourage communication between departments.
o Develop and implement new policies or procedures to enhance efficiency and improve processes.
o Monitor production metrics to identify and drive issue resolution and develop process improvements.
o Collaborate with the Plant Manager to set short-term and long-term production performance goals.
o Provide input to strategic decisions affecting production.
o Assist Plant Manager in development and management of the production budget.
o Manage capital expenditure budget for the production department.
o Manage and oversee the implementation of new processes, procedures, and projects.
o Create tools to increase efficiency and improve communication.
o Ensure all customer complaints and identified quality issues are analyzed and corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
o Assist Production Managers in ensuring availability of staff in numbers and skills to meet production needs and schedule.
o Work with supply chain to ensure production scheduling benefits the overall efficiency of the production lines.
o Establish staff training processes, equipment, and tool requirements to comply with quality, health, and safety regulations.
o Supervise and control completion of established standards regarding consumption, quality, yield by using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
o Follow the company's safety policies and procedures.
o Follow the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Job Qualification Requirements o Bachelor's Degree in Food Science.
o 7
years of experience in a management position in a food manufacturing environment.
o Project Management certification or experience.
o Extensive knowledge of food manufacturing process.
Commercial baking experience is a plus.
o Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) o Ability to work in independently and in a team environment.
o Strong leadership skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent time management skills.
o Experience managing budgets.
o Understanding of safe work practices, incident investigation techniques, management of change, and safety, health, and environmental regulations.
o Ability to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments.
o Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.
o Ability to think critically to assess, prioritize, and resolve issues.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
