128 Cokesbury Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833 BASIC FUNCTION The New Jersey Tutoring Corps, Inc.
provides high-dosage tutoring for K through Grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps.
The New Jersey Tutoring Corps seeks to hire tutors to work with scholars in partnership with The Queen City Academy Charter School.
Tutors will work with small groups of scholars, typically in groups of 1-5, in grades K-8 in building skills in math and literacy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Engage with scholars in grades 3-5 to build on existing mathematics skills.
Complete daily records on scholar progress and site needs using the tools provided.
Use data to drive instruction.
Communicate regularly with your site coordinator to provide optimum learning- experiences for scholars.
Participate in coaching from an instructional coach.
Use an asset-based approach in working with scholars.
Be responsive and work collaboratively with other tutors and site staff.
Complete all training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children, preferably in a learning and teaching capacity.
Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS) to receive the $40 hourly pay rate.
New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form) Experience with Google Suite functions including Google Sheets and Forms.
Professional skills include attention to detail, timely and proactive communication, and job preparedness.
Reliable transportation to travel to sites.
