Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities The Insurance Data and Analytics Group is seeking a Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join our team. This role is to support the effective documentation of work processes and business requirements specific to Data and Analytics.
This role will work closely with the business to help drive our requirements around actionable metrics and reporting. Understand and consume data from dimensional models, Write advanced SQL as part of helping in the visualization process around data presentation. Maintain and improve analytics reports to answer business questions. Serve as an advocate towards ensuring that the team goals align with business goals and needs. Maintains a strong working relationship with the Business users, Enterprise Technology as well as other Insurance Team members. Has knowledge of predictive modeling techniques. Ability to well document user''s business needs.
o Facilitates requirements gathering sessions for basic requests, proactively drawing out requirements from stakeholders.
o Performs gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement or management control of work flow.
o Creates requirements definition documentation and simple functional specifications to capture business needs and for validation with the customer and shared with project stakeholders.
o Validates and obtains sign-off for functional requirements/specifications.
o Manages and documents changes to requirements throughout the project.
o Tracks and reports on projects meeting defined requirements throughout the project life cycle.
o Reviews test plans and scripts for completeness and accuracy.

Required Qualifications -Undergrad degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years experience.
-Must have advanced SQL Skills, any programming language is a plus.
-Must know star-schema and dimensional
-Must have solid understanding how to gather business requirements specific to the Insurance industry around policy and claims data.

o Possesses the aptitude to quickly understand work processes and flows in various business units.
o Demonstrates good understanding of business needs by accurately documenting business requirements and simple functional specifications.
Leadership:
Will coordinate efforts between the business and data team for creating business requirements and dashboard mockups. Must work well in a team.
Able to understand and think about data integration opportunities in context of solving business problems

o Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches, with guidance.
Communication:
o Seeks advice and approval when necessary to expedite results.

o Ability to communicate in written, oral and presentation formats to best represent and express user and organizational requirements to audiences up to mid-level management.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
