Research Guidance and Valuation Advisor

Job Role Summary
The Research Guidance and Valuation (RG&V) Advisor, as part of the EMRE (ExxonMobil Research and Engineering) Company Strategy and Planning organization, develops detailed techno-economic models of research and development programs within the EMRE portfolio to understand the potential value of the technology. RG&V Advisors are expected to learn, understand and communicate the detailed business strategies to the R&D community and ensure the programs they guide are aligned with the business strategy. The RG&V Advisor facilitates portfolio reviews of various portions of the R&D portfolio and also works directly with the R&D teams to guide the research effort toward higher value areas. The RG&V Advisor provides guidance on the ExxonMobil Technology gated process and ensure consistency in the economics and gate packages. RG&V advisors may also be involved in other R&D planning processes such as R&D re-appraisals, R&D Deployment efforts, and stewarding of key R&D performance metrics.
Job Role Responsibilities
Develop detailed techno-economic models for R&D programs across a range of research areas
Develop capital cost estimates to deploy new Technologies envisioned in R&D programs
Deliver program economics and provide cold eyes technical reviews on research programs
Ensure strong R&D programs are deployed into successful commercial projects
Understand and communicate business strategies to R&D community ? ensure R&D sub-portfolio is aligned with business strategies
Survey internal databases, literature and external sources for competitive technologies to R&D proposals
Job Requirements
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Advanced Physical Science degree or equivalent degree
Experience in R&D, engineering project economics, petroleum industry and/or related engineering process industry
Willing and able to travel domestically as required by portfolio and management reviews ( 25% of time)
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities-stakeholders and deadlines
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in Science, Engineering, MBA or equivalent degree strongly preferred
Extensive experience with valuation, capital cost calculations and economic measures
Experience with Monte Carlo simulations
Strong analytical and communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
