Lab LAN Technical Advisor

Job Role Summary Deliver IT infrastructure design, engineering, implementation and advanced support (server, domain, network, desktop) for approximately 1400 devices on a Research Network. Additionally, the position requires supporting non-standard, laboratory or process control environments, lab instruments and is located in Clinton, New Jersey. Primary Job Functions Design and implement solutions for lab instrumentation workstations Provide IT consultation for business users in conjunction with external partners Advise business units on IT security and controls best practices Steward technology incubation and proof of concepts Provide advancedinfrastructuresupport (server, domain,network, desktop, lab instruments) Perform comprehensive troubleshooting of workstations, servers, lab instruments, peripherals and software Configure and troubleshoot Network equipment and technology (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, VPN tunnels, fiber and copper wiring...) Installation and support of printers, Wi-Fi equipment Infrastructure Administration Tasks Active Directory users, groups, and policies Inventory management system Data Backup System Security patch management Miscellaneous Observe company safety & security guidelines Document all processes and procedures as needed and share findings with peers Work with outside vendors as needed to resolve issues, test solutions, and implement fixes Support of IT Audit activities Job Requirements Bachelor'sdegree in a Computer related or Engineering field or equivalent work/degreeexperience. Examples: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Minimum 10 years of IT Infrastructure experience or equivalent military service Soft Skills: Availability during weekends and off-hours Work Ethic: Punctual, self-motivated with a positive attitude Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail Customer Service Focus: Ability to handle challenging situations, and resolve issues in a personable manner Ability to work independently to plan, organize and execute work with limited direction, adaptability to time pressures and changing  priorities Effective, remote problem solving; over-the-phone, via email, across time zones Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Advanced Network troubleshooting skills (Cisco switches, routers, IOS commands) Advanced knowledge of Server and AD architecture, backup solutions (BackupExec, Ghost, System Recovery),  patch management systems (SCCM, Shavlik) Experience supporting non-standard, laboratory or process control environment, lab instrument hardware and software Active Directory Scripting tools (PowerShell) Expert knowledge of legacy hardware and OS (WIN 2K, XP) Experience with inventory management tools and practices Familiarity with ticketing systems (Remedy etc.) ExxonMobil is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
