Job Role Summary ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company has an opening for a member of the technical staff in the Active Materials Section of its Corporate Strategic Research Laboratory located in Annandale, New Jersey.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic group of scientists identifying and producing a diverse range of materials for applications of interest to our businesses.  Of particular interest is the discovery, characterization, and evaluation of inorganic materials with novel catalytic properties.   ExxonMobil's Corporate Strategic Research Laboratory conducts fundamental research with a staff of over 200 scientists and engineers in diverse disciplines.  The laboratory features excellent support and analytical facilities, an international staff, and is strongly integrated with the external scientific community.  Our facilities are centrally located in scenic Annandale, New Jersey, approximately 50 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Job Role Responsibilities Work on multidisciplinary teams to synthesize, characterize, and evaluate novel oxide or mixed oxide, metallic, metalloid, or hybrid materials.   The position requires a detailed knowledge of solid state chemistry, state of the art characterization techniques and an understanding of catalytic evaluations.  Develop skills in the application of active materials to catalysis and other applications in the petrochemical industry. Collaborate effectively with other researchers within the company as well as academic researchers Active participation with the external scientific community is expected Job Requirements A Ph.D. in solid state chemistry, chemical engineering with a strong catalytic materials focus, materials science, materials engineering or related disciplines A demonstrated track record of new materials discovery  In-depth materials characterization and structural solution skills Demonstrated capacity for critical and creative thinking is essential  Willingness to apply technical expertise to new areas of materials research Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Additional skills in inorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, separations science, or catalysis are desirable Post-doctoral experience is preferred   Alternate Location: United States : Clinton, New Jersey  ExxonMobil is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
